Here is a nice article to read over the holidays. It really showcases what the OLPC project is all about.

If you’ve got one, can you post a link that doesn’t require registration?

Benjamin: http://www.bugmenot.com/view/www.chicagotribune.com
The second combination worked for me.

Interesting, I guess they are tracking since I can get to it. I shortened the url to not include the GET parameters so perhaps that will fix it.

I read the post at planet.gnome.org, and clicked the [ru] translation link and the result was a little disappointing. Even a drunk translator won’t say that (except if it’s a native English, not Russian, speaker).

It uses google translations which does suck though I don’t think there are better ones. The nice thing about google translations is it allows you to fix the translation. Please feel free to do so, that would be great.

It’s an Associated Press story so there’s no reason to link to it on a registration-required newspaper site. Google “AP Laptop project enlivens Peruvian hamlet By FRANK BAJAK, AP” and it’s on lots of free sites, e.g. yahoo or hosted.ap.org
