All I can say that we can discuss this to hell, but I just wish luck to all OLPC/XO team. I hope you will reach your aims in every level, including open thinking.
The reality is as exciting as the conspiracy theory. Because is true. All the talk about a ultra low cost computer using only free and open source software and in the end you will also put in there Microsoft software, the most anti-free software company in the world.
That explanation is no explanation at all. That was already known.
The intended purpose was to cut the dependency on proprietary, high cost software and hardware. They cave in. They are hypocrytes.
You are an idiot clouded by your own paranoia. Did you read the article? OLPC isn’t putting Windows on the machines. The XO is an open general purpose x86 computer. You can put whatever you want on it. We ship with free and open software. If someone else wants to ship Windows on it they can, or any other Linux distribution for that matter.
Don’t come into my house and call me a hypocrite without hard facts to back up your claim. How much have you done to push the success of free software?
Now that is the ultimate hypocrite. A person who decries the injustice of the world but does nothing positive to fix it.
