I’m sitting here in Miami International Airport and well, I am missing in action right now after being rerouted twice. First I didn’t have enough time to get to my San Paulo/New York flight because of delays in Recife so they rerouted me to to Miami with a standby to Boston. After not having enough time to get to the Boston flight, it was standby anyway, I am now rerouted at 12:00 to New York and then on to Boston. The good news is they bumped me to first class and confirmed my flight instead of just putting me on further standby.

Despite all of this I must say that American Airlines service is quite good. I can’t blame them for the delays and they were very helpful. They went as far as finding a shipping container for the gift of Cachasa I bought at the airport but couldn’t be brought in carry-on. They even worked with me to find the best routing plan with the attendant going as far as looking for flights to Fort Myres where I could stay with my Aunt for a bit while air travel cleared up. In any case I should be back in Boston around 5 tonight whittling my troubles away sipping on complementary Champagne. I think this is how they hook you.

BOSSA is over and it was a lot of fun as well as very productive as I have gotten a lot of key people interested in both OLPC and D-Bus. The INdT guys were perfect hosts during and after the conference. This just says it all:
